****SENIOR ALL STAR GAME DATE:
Senior All Stars-players who are seniors and 1st Team All Conference picks will/should automatically be nominees for All Star Game; every team should have at least one representative for the All Star Games in GUILFORD FRIDAY June 18, 2010 at 6pm & 8pm; Coaches need players on their respective teams who will show up and participate; Select players who can and want to play;Coaches have an obligation to instill in seniors that playing in the game is an honor (approved by CHSLCA, 2006)
***All State Banquet at the Aqua Turf, Southington on Tuesday, June 22, 2010.
All coaches should attend and support this event.
Connecticut Boys Super Junior Tryouts
- Sunday June 13th @ New Canaan High School, New Canaan, CT
- Two tryout times 9AM and 12PM, athletes will be divided up and reporting times will be posted on the chapter website.
- Registration – 8 AM for morning group and 11:00 AM for afternoon group
- Tryout – Morning group 9 AM-11:30 AM and Afternoon group 12 PM-3:30 PM
- After tryouts, athletes selected for the Second Tryout will be posted by number on the chapter website.
Second Tryout
- Wednesday June 16th @ Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT
- For those selected from the first tryout, players numbers posted on website.
- Registration -4PM, tryout time 5 PM-7:30 PM
- After tryout, names of those selected for participation in the Super Junior Game will be posted on the chapter website.
Super Junior Game
The Boys Super Junior Game will be held Saturday, June 19th (time TBD) in Yale University’s Reese Stadium, New Haven, CT
Super Junior Tryouts will be held as follows:
1st Tryouts *Sunday, June 13th New Canaan High School Tryout Times: 9am & 12 noon
2nd Tryouts Wednesday, June 16th Freeman Athletic Center, WesleyanUniversity,
Middletown, CT
*There is a tryout fee of $35.00 which will need to be paid at registration Sunday June 13th
The “Super Juniors” exhibition game will be played on Saturday, June 19th at Yale University
IMPORTANT: Membership in US Lacrosse is required to participate in the tryouts. This is a Connecticut Lacrosse Foundation sponsored event, and for insurance and liability purposes, membership is mandatory.
Tryouts will be held in two sessions, morning and afternoon, 9AM and 12 Noon. Check to see what session you are scheduled for at www.ctlacrosse.org and plan on showing up 45 minutes ahead of schedule to register. Team information will be posted after all nomination forms have been processed.
If selected for the 2nd round of tryouts on Wednesday, your number will be posted on the CT Lacrosse Foundation website at www.ctlacrosse.org and they will be held on Wednesday, June 16th at Wesleyan University at 5PM.
